Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Modaku collects when you shop with us, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email address, phone number and shipping address, and what you bought. You enter these at checkout, which is run by Stripe.
• Payment details: Stripe handles your card or other payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
• While you browse: your cart is saved in your own browser so it's still there when you come back. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use it

To take payment, ship your order, contact you about it, prevent fraud, and keep the records the law requires (such as tax records).

Who we share it with

• Stripe processes payments and helps prevent fraud. It may set its own cookies for that. See stripe.com/privacy.
• CJ Dropshipping, our fulfilment partner, and the carriers it uses get your name, address, phone number and email address so they can deliver your order.
• Vercel hosts this website and Upstash stores our order records.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser connects to Google to load them.

Some of these companies store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and China. We don't sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to deliver orders, handle returns, and meet tax and accounting rules.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing the support address on your receipt. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
